CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., July 14 (UPI) -- U.S. space agency scientists and engineers were, once again, preparing space shuttle Endeavour for launch following three weather-related failed attempts.
Endeavour had been set to lift off Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but each launch had to be scrubbed because of thunderstorm activity in the Kennedy Space Center area in central Florida.
The next launch attempt for the STS-127 mission is to take place Wednesday at 6:03 p.m. EDT. NASA forecasters were calling for a 60 percent probability of favorable weather conditions.
NASA managers are to meet Wednesday at 8 a.m. EDT to give a "go" for fueling of Endeavour's external fuel tank.
The 16-day mission to the International Space Station will include five spacewalks to complete construction of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory.
