Square meal-brand bars recalled in Canada

OTTAWA, May 18 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced the recall of certain More Than a Square Meal-brand bars due to a labeling error.

The federal agency said Rocky Mountain Grain Products of Alberta Ltd. discovered the bars contain sulphites that are not declared on the label. Consumption of the bars might cause serious or even life-threatening reaction in people with a sensitivity to sulphites.

The company said only packages of the product that do not declare the presence of sulphites are being recalled. The bars were distributed nationally.
