WASHINGTON, April 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service says Mucci's Food Products Inc. is recalling its frozen meat and poultry pasta products due to a safety hazard.

The FSIS said the products are adulterated and misbranded because they were prepared without the benefit of federal inspection. The recall includes Mama Mucci's-brand veal and porcini baci, sausage baci, beef ravioli, veal ravioli, sausage ravioli, roasted chicken cannelloni, prosciutto and grana padana parmesan baci.

The frozen meat and poultry pasta products bear the establishment number "19177" or "P-19177" inside the USDA mark of inspection, as well as the Julian Dates "1218" to "1149" located at the bottom of the box.

The recalled products were distributed to restaurants in southeast Michigan, and to brokers and distributors in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio.

Consumers with questions can contact the Canton, Mich., company at 734-453-4555.
