Country Acre-brand poultry feed recalled

WASHINGTON, April 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says Land O'Lakes Purina Feed LLC is voluntarily recalling a single lot of a Country Acre-brand poultry feed product.

The FDA said the poultry feed product contains a higher than acceptable level of salt, posing a serious health hazard and potential for mortality in poultry.

The product was manufactured at a St. Joseph, Mo., feed plant and was distributed in 50-pound bags to dealers in northeastern Oklahoma, eastern and central Kansas, western Arkansas and western Missouri.

The lot being recalled is identified on the bag as 9MAR19STJ3.
