Various brands of enoki mushrooms recalled

KENNETT SQUARE, Pa., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Phillips Mushroom Farms of Kennett Square, Pa., announced the recall of its enoki mushrooms because of possible contamination.

Phillips officials said the mushrooms might be contaminated with the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes.

The mushrooms -- packaged under the Phillips-, PMF-, Mr. Mushroom-, Publix-, Moonlight-, Pennsylvania Dutchman- Fresh Obsession-, Country Fresh-, Monterey Gourmet-, Elite- and Giorgio-brand -- were distributed across the United States and Canada in clear plastic bags with blue, green or red graphics panels, plastic boxes with overwrap film or in 1-pound bags.
