Black Diamond cheese recalled in Canada

OTTAWA, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning the public not to consume Black Diamond-brand fat-free mozzarella processed cheese slices.

The watchdog agency said the cheese -- produced by Parmalat Canada in Belleville, Ontario, and distributed nationally -- might contain small pieces of plastic mesh, posing a choking hazard.

The recalled product was sold in 24-slice packages bearing a "best before" date of "09 AU 09 REG1411" and UPC 0 68200 88837 8.
