Jolly Good-brand sausage products recalled

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced the recall of Jolly Good-brand ready-to-eat and raw sausage rolls due to a labeling error.

The FSIS said the Jolly Good Meat Products Co. of Los Angeles is recalling approximately 600 pounds of ready-to-eat and raw banger sausage rolls because they may contain eggs -- an undeclared allergen, posing a health risk for people allergic to egg products.

The recalled products were sold in 8.9-pound and 24-pound cases, with each box bearing "Est. # 6216" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Banger Rolls products were produced during September and October, and were shipped to distributors in California for further distribution to retail establishments and restaurants.

Consumers with questions can contact the company at 323-290-2265.
