OTTAWA, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced the recall of Savco-brand vending machine sandwiches because they might be contaminated with harmful bacteria.

The CFIA said the voluntary recall was initiated by Savco Food Services Ltd. because the sandwiches might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled sandwiches display a 13-digit code next to a "KEEP REFRIGERATED" statement on the label.

A list of the recalled sandwiches and their numbers is available at http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/corpaffr/recarapp/2008/20081022e.shtml.
