OTTAWA, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced the recall of Private Recipe-brand frozen creamed salmon entree because of possible bacterial contamination.

The agency said Private Recipes Ltd. of Brampton, Ontario, reported the product might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected frozen creamed salmon is sold in 370-gram packages bearing item number 12012 and a "Best Before Date" of "2009 JN 06" -- June 6, 2009. It was distributed mainly by Meals on Wheels and similar charitable agencies in British Columbia, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
