Some QFC-brand deli items are recalled

WASHINGTON, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and QFC supermarkets, part of the Kroger Co., announced the recall of various delicatessen items due to a health risk.

The FDA said five deli tuna salad items sold at 74 QFC stores in Washington and Oregon might contain salad dressing in which milk was used but not listed on the label, posing a health risk for people allergic to dairy products.

The following deli-prepared items and their "sell by" dates are included in the recall: tuna pecan salad and tuna salad stuffed tomato, Aug. 29 or 30; gourmet tuna wrap Aug. 27 or 28; custom-prepared whole or half sandwich with tuna salad, Aug. 25 or 26.
