WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- U.S. Food and Drug Administration Chief Counsel Sheldon Bradshaw announced his resignation, effective Wednesday, returning to the private sector.
Bradshaw joined the Department of Health and Human Services as the FDA's associate general counsel in April 2005. He subsequently provided legal advice on a number of policy matters, including enforcing the requirements of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act in federal courts and defending the agency's programs when they were challenged, officials said.
Jeffrey Senger, the current deputy associate general counsel, will serve as acting associate general counsel until a permanent replacement is appointed.
