Iraq's oil: Now comes the hard part

TOKYO, June 1 (UPI) -- Japan is considering the creation of a fund that would help developing nations cut greenhouse gas emissions.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is expected to unveil the proposed plan next week during the G8 summit in Germany, Kyodo news service said Friday.
Assistance would be provided for the deployment of energy-saving devices in power plants and factories, clean energy sources such as solar power, and conservation of forests.
Kyodo said Japan is also considering providing humanitarian aid to developing countries suffering from drought or rising sea levels.
