New theory addresses frozen Earth paradox

SEOUL, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- South Korean researchers exploring the Antarctic have discovered five meteorites, the Korea Polar Research Institute said.
The team, led by geologist Lee Jong-ik, found the meteorites during their exploration of the South Pole in January, the Yonhap news agency reported.
Yonhap said that the find was the first such discovery by Koreans. Meteorites can contain valuable information about the origins of the universe, Yonhap said.
