New theory addresses frozen Earth paradox

JERUSALEM, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- British physicist Stephen Hawking will meet with Israeli and Palestinian scientists to promote scientific cooperation between the two countries.
In addition to meeting with scientists, Hawking will deliver several lectures during his visit, Haaretz reported Friday. The British embassy organized the visit.
Hawking is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Jerusalem Sunday.
His research focuses on black holes and the theory of relativity. Hawking earned international acclaim for his best-seller, "A Brief History of Time."
