IMF appoints new CIO

WASHINGTON, July 27 (UPI) -- The International Monetary Fund Thursday appointed a new chief information officer.

The position has been newly created and will be filled by Jonathan Palmer by late September.

An Australian national, Palmer is currently CIO at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, having been a manager in the New Zealand Statistical Authority and an adjunct professor at the University of Canberra.
