CAN THO, Vietnam, June 30 (UPI) -- Surgeons at a South Vietnamese military hospital have removed 119 rusty nails from the stomach of a mentally ill woman who swallowed them.
The 43-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night suffering severe stomach pains, Vietnamnet reported Friday.

An X-ray revealed a moving "tumor" that was making crunching noises, followed by a CAT scan showing the tumor was made of metal.
Doctors spent an hour removing all the nails, which had been badly rusted by stomach acids.
Because the woman had no money, the hospital decided to waive all fees.
