BellSouth with Internet security service

ATLANTA, June 5 (UPI) -- BellSouth launched a managed security service as part of its Internet service portfolio for its U.S. subscribers.

The security services include network intrusion prevention, managed firewall, host intrusion prevention and e-mail encryption.

"Many companies are unable to devote substantial resources to managing IT security around the clock to protect themselves from security threats," said Mike Cote, chief executive of SecureWorks. "SecureWorks and BellSouth act on behalf of clients to stop network attacks before any damage is done.
