BUENOS AIRES, March 15 (UPI) -- Telecom Argentina will use a Portal Software system to handle pricing and promotional services for its growing broadband customer base.
California-based Portal announced Wednesday that Telecom would deploy its Portal 7 solution to handle its overall revenue-management functions as it offers broadband data and Voice over Internet Protocol telephone services.
Telecom Argentina's IT manager, Guillermo Desimoni, said in a statement that Portal showed its flexibility and ability to handle innovative pricing formulas and adapt to special promotions aimed at capturing the growing demand for broadband.
"In the highly competitive Argentine market, it is essential that we are able to quickly capitalize on emerging trends in broadband," he said.
