NEW YORK, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Giorgio Armani Parfums and Cosmetics said Friday it is launching a global "Beauty" Web site.

The company said in a news release that the launch "demonstrates Mr. Armani's commitment to embrace fashion and beauty within the online sphere." The statement added that this is the first time that the entire collection of fragrances and cosmetics from the Giorgio Armani group will be shown together for the "global Internet to see."

Armani noted, "I am approaching the launch of this Web site with the same attention to detail and the same commitment as when I open a new boutique. This, however, is our virtual store and it has been designed to take advantage of all the benefits that the Internet now offers in terms of communication and commerce."
