Lucent names ex-USTR deputy rep to board

MURRAY HILL, N.J., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Lucent Technologies Thursday announced former deputy U.S. Trade Representative Linnet Deily will be joining its board of directors.

The 60-year-old Deily was most recently based in Geneva, Switzerland, as deputy U.S. representative to the World Trade Organization.

With Deily's appointment, Lucent will have a total of 11 board directors. The 10 others are: Robert Denham, Daniel Goldin, Edward Hagenlocker, Carla Hills, Karl Krapek, Richard Levin, Henry Schacht, Franklin Thomas, Ronald Williams and Chief Executive Patricia Russo.
