Nokia forges China JV on 3G wireless nets

BEIJING, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Nokia has signed a joint-venture agreement with China Putain to develop and market 3G network solutions in China.

The move comes as China considers licensing guidelines for proposed 3G wireless networks in China, which are expected to reserve a large slice of the Chinese market for domestic manufacturers and their partners.
