Ex-Siemens exec joins Deutsche Telekom

FRANKFURT, Germany, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Deutsche Telekom said Friday a former executive of Siemens will head T-Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary.

Lothar Pauly will be chief executive of T-Systems as of Oct. 1. The 46-year-old Pauly has been chief executive of the communications division of German electronics maker Siemens.

"We have gained an outstanding individual with great potential," Klaus Zumwinkel, chairman of German telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom, said in a news release.
