Future galaxy collision predicted

TEWKSBURY, Mass., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Defense contractor Raytheon said Monday it was awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to enhance the nation's ability to track air traffic.
The $6.7 million contract awarded to Raytheon Solipsys will help enable U.S. capability to monitor and track potential airborne threats in domestic airspace, Raytheon said.
Specifically, Raytheon's multi-source correlator tracker and tactical display framework will be used by the Air Force's Joint Based Expeditionary Connectivity Center to provide rapidly deployable voice and data links that are connected to the North American Aerospace Defense Command's contingency suite.
