SAN DIEGO, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Kyocera Wireless will introduce a new clamshell color camera wireless handset in the fall.

The Candid KX16 CDMA handset includes digital zoom, flash and external caller identification at a price Kyocera considers affordable and easy to use.

"We know that wireless users are clamoring for simplicity and many just want to know they can make calls, send text messages and take pictures easily," said Kyocera COO Jim Kelly.

The 5-step digital zoom resolution goes from 160x120 to 640x480 resolution with auto-focus and self-timer among its other bells and whistles.

The handset weighs just under 4 ounces and has a talk time of 3-1/2 hours and standby time of up to 170 hours.
