BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Fossils of a new species of dinosaur has been discovered in Argentina, National Geographic and Nature magazines are reporting.
The Neuquenraptor argentinus is being described as a "fleet-footed" small meat-eater and a relative of the Velociraptor, the crafty killer dinosaur with razor-sharp toe claws from the Jurassic Park films.

Paleontologists initially though this particular type of dinosaur -- part of the deinonychosaurs family -- was strictly indigenous to the northern hemisphere.
The N. argentinus was thought to have lived some 75 million years ago.
