Web site backs Parkinson's clinical trials

NEW YORK, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Researchers studying Parkinson's Disease were invited Tuesday to submit information to a Web site dedicated entirely to clinical trials.

The site, www.PDtrials.org, came into being from a public awareness initiative of government, industry and private organizations known as Advancing Parkinson's Therapies. Its intent is to increase awareness of and participation in research to treat the degenerative disease, backers said.

More than 30 clinical studies already were listed on the site, which is coordinated by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
