Singapoe may prohibit cloning

, Singapore, May 10 (UPI) -- Singapore's health ministry is proposing the city-state impose a total ban on human cloning, the Singapore Straits-Times reported Monday.

The ministry is seeking more feed back from the public regarding its proposal that, if approved, would prohibit the placing of any human embryo clone into the body of a human or the body of an animal.

It would also ban the import or export of any human embryo clone; any commercial trading of human eggs, human sperm, and human embryos; or the development of human embryos created other than by fertilization of human egg by human sperm.
