New FDA regs to ensure supplement purity

WASHINGTON, March 7 (UPI) -- The Food and Drug Administration proposed new standards Friday for dietary supplements to ensure they contain ingredients and amounts listed on labels. The new regulations could go into effect in early 2004, officials said.
