Senate bill would allow research cloning

WASHINGTON, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- A bi-partisan group of Senators plans to introduce a bill Wednesday to allow research cloning. The bill would ban reproductive cloning but would allow a different procedure known as research or therapeutic cloning that can generate embryonic stem cells with the potential to treat disease.
