Ring of stars found circling Milky Way

SEATTLE, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Astronomers said Monday they have discovered a giant ring of stars circling our Milky Way galaxy, possibly the remnant of an ancient companion galaxy. The structure contains more than 100 million stars and stretches some 120,000 light-years across.
