Breast density boosted by hormones

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A new study released Tuesday suggests combining hormones used in hormone replacement therapy can increase the density of a woman's breast. Increased breast density could make cancer detection more difficult, and researchers said the finding poses more questions than answers about how breast tissue and hormones interact.
