BALTIMORE, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Two studies released Wednesday reached opposite conclusions about whether mercury in fish can increase the risk of a heart attack. Despite the contradiction, both groups of researchers and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the benefits of eating fish far outweigh any risks from mercury for most people.
