Novel compound shrinks tumors dramatically

FRANKFURT, Germany, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A novel compound that shrinks cancer tumors by blocking the formation of new blood vessels is showing promising results in early human trials, researchers reported Wednesday. It reduces tumors by more than 50 percent with relatively minimal toxicity compared to other chemotherapy agents, they said.
