Dust-sized sensors could monitor weather

COCOA BEACH, Fla., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Computer modeling suggests microscopic sensors scattered in the atmosphere could provide detailed, real-time atmospheric data essential for weather forecasting, scientists said Wednesday. The particles, which would act as their own antennas and power source, also could fill military reconnaissance and space exploration roles, they said.
