Tests for chronic wasting disease touted

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- A University of Minnesota expert doubts the accuracy of quick tests for chronic wasting disease and is warning hunters not to rely on them. Two new tests examine lymph nodes and blood to determine whether the mad cow-like disease is present in deer and elk, but Jeff Bender said the only validated test examines brain tissue.
