USDA found to be lax with meat plants

WASHINGTON, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A congressional report released Thursday charges the U.S. Department of Agriculture is not properly enforcing its food safety regulations at the nation's meat and poultry plants. The USDA's lapses could leave consumers at risk for infection, the report said.
