AHA warns about heart disease in kids

CINCINNATI, July 1 (UPI) -- There is no minimum age for heart disease -- arteries can start narrowing before kids are old enough for PG-13 movies, let alone R-rated films. As more studies confirm that high cholesterol, high blood pressure and blocked arteries all start in elementary school, the American Heart Association is telling doctors to start checking for heart disease in pre-schoolers.
