Report: Medicare wastes millions

WASHINGTON, June 12 (UPI) -- A report by the Dept. of Health and Human Services Inspector General put Medicare in the hot seat on Wednesday for wasting almost $1 billion of taxpayers' money on identical medical supplies and equipment that the Dept. of Veterans Affairs purchases for one-eighth as much.
