High-fat diet colon cancer link explained

DALLAS, May 16 (UPI) -- Scientists report in the journal Science that they have discovered how a high-fat diet can lead to the development of colon cancer. A vitamin D receptor, found on the surface of cells in the colon and normally binds with vitamin D, also binds and neutralizes a toxic chemical that is known to cause colon cancer.
