Hypothyroidism linked to cancer survival

SAN FRANCISCO, April 8 (UPI) -- Cancer researchers reported Monday inducing hypothyroidism in cancer patients might slow tumor growth and improve survival by allowing anti-cancer drugs to work more effectively. Hypothyroidism is when the thyroid gland does not secrete an adequate amount of the thyroid hormone called thyroxine.
