WASHINGTON, March 14 (UPI) -- For those who wonder why so many heavy drinkers also are chain smokers, a study in rats suggests combining cigarettes with alcohol triggers the brain to release higher levels of a chemical messenger that affects pleasure levels. Researchers said Thursday that is why lighting up while sipping wine can increase a person's enjoyment.
