WASHINGTON, March 7 (UPI) -- Despite apparent budget cuts, NASA and Federal Aviation Administration research and development efforts still will meet goals for safer, more efficient aircraft, engines and air traffic control, agency officials said Thursday. House members and industry officials, however, said more can be done, such as in the area of joint research with universities.
