Shuttle crew snares Hubble telescope

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla., March 3 (UPI) -- After an intricate two-day chase, the shuttle Columbia crew closed in on the Hubble Space Telescope, plucked it from orbit and latched it onto a rotating work platform for five days of inflight servicing. Spacewalks to repair and upgrade the observatory remain on schedule to begin early Monday.
