FDA licenses anthrax vaccine

WASHINGTON, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Thursday the licensing necessary for BioPort Corporation to begin distribution of the anthrax vaccine immediately. "Since BioPort is the only licensed manufacturer of the anthrax vaccine, today's approval is especially important," said Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson.
