Study: Morphine tolerance can be avoided

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Scientists at the University of California, San Francisco, using rats in a seven-day experiment, have found they can eliminate the problem of tolerance that builds up with morphine use by giving it and a second drug at the same time. The work may have strong implications for pain management in humans.
