Common drug combos can cause stroke

BOSTON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Combined use of serotonin-enhancing drugs -- - some antidepressants, antimigraine medications, decongestants, diet pills and amphetamines as well as the illegal drugs cocaine and "ecstasy" -- - can cause an "explosive" headache followed by a stroke due to narrowing of cerebral blood vessels, researchers report in the Jan. 8 issue of the journal Neurology.
