WASHINGTON, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Cable companies and traditional broadcasters faced off against satellite TV providers Tuesday, during a House hearing on the proposed $26 billion merger between EchoStar and DirecTV. Witnesses and committee members sparred over whether the deal would help or hurt rural consumers and TV competition in general.
