AMA chills scope of smallpox vaccinations

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Delegates to the American Medical Association, meeting in San Francisco, Calif., urged the organization to heighten awareness over a possible bioterrorism attack with smallpox. They, however, declined to call for widespread vaccinations until an actual threat materializes.
