@Home debacle could hurt broadband

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- People considering high-speed Internet access could put off buying such service in the wake of bankruptcy worries and contract squabbles at the Excite@Home access network, industry watchers said Monday. Such hesitancy could seriously damage efforts to deploy such "broadband" service throughout the country, they said.
