Boomer moms wouldn't trade with daughters

CHICAGO, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Baby boom mother see their daughters as more successful in their professional careers than were the boomers themselves, but few would trade their lives with those of their daughters, according to new research presented here at a meeting on aging. Deborah Carr of the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research said, "Contrary to what theories would predict, appraising their daughter's professional lives as more successful did not take a toll on the women's self-esteem."
